Even though rendezvous time is still months away as I write this article, having just been through a pandemic here are some thoughts on how to keep yourself safe & healthy at rendezvous.

Brush Creek Rendezvous and Shooting Match | Lenox GA
The Brushy Creek Rendezvous and Shooting Match in the Lenox GA area is one of the largest, shooting matches in the Southeast. Five days of shooting, tradin’, and stretchin’ the truth, starting on Wednesday, and ending on Sunday Noon. Awards given out on Sunday afternoon. Dates are March 18-22, AND ITS A GO!!! They have matches in paper, primitive, hawk & knife, archery, & BPCR. Big potluck dinner served on Saturday evening. Sunday afternoon, winning raffle prizes are drawn, this year a T/C Hawken Rifle and a replica Colt .44 C&B revolver. 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place ribbons will be awarded along with a pick from prize table. Almost every winner took home a pound of black powder last year. I have been attending since 1995, and its an eight hour drive from NC. Folks from NC, SC, GA, FL, & AL attend yearly. Last year, about 150 were in attendance, including about 90 competitors. RV camping & primitive camping available, and a cook house provides meals, daily. There are about fifty to seventy black powder firearms for sale here on “Sutler’s Row”. Here are a few snapshots from last year. Hope y’all can come.

2020 Alafia River Rendezvous
Pack up your camp and head to Sunny Florida for the Southeast’s largest pre-1840 Rendezvous. Join over 1000 other campers for shooting, hawk & knife, and archery competitions, seminars, pow wow, kids activities, traders, and lots of entertainment.
Join us January 15-26, 2020. Early set up begins January 15 and goes until January 17.
