To comply with Indiana State Guidelines for COVID 19, masks were made available at the NMLRA clubhouse, and hand sanitizer was available at each station to be used as needed.
We couldn’t ask for better weather today at the NMLRA Youth Shoot! With 85 registered kids, the 2020 NMLRA Youth Shoot was larger than 2019!
Friday evening, families arrived at the Walter Cline Range to set up camp and register for the weekend. On Saturday, families woke up and began working their way through each of the ranges. Volunteers helped organize matches with .22 pistols, offhand muzzleloading rifles, modern 5 bird trap, archery, paintball guns, air rifles, a .22 rifle woods walk, and tomahawks. After wrapping up the matches around 3 pm, families returned to their camps for an evening of leisure and campfires.
On Sunday morning, each of the kids traveled to every range shooting their choice, just having fun with shooting sports!
We can’t thank our volunteers enough for their hard work to bring so many new kids of all ages into shooting sports safely and in a fun manner!
