Bill Raby's 4 Bore Rifle Build - Part 20

Bill continues his 4 bore rifle build this week as he finished up the rivets on the barrel rib and bedded the barrel into the stock.

Bill notes that the bedding of the barrel to the stock diverges from the historical accuracy of the rifle, but the amount of recoil this gun will put off really warrants the modern bedding.

Traditions 2020 Muzzle Loading Line | New Muzzle Loaders for 2020

We catch up with Alison Hall from Traditions Firearms to hear about their line of muzzleloaders for hunters, reenactors, hobbyists, and more.

Traditions made waves at the SHOT Show this year with the introduction of their new Nitro Fire Rifle. But the Nitro Fire isn’t the only thing Traditions is bringing to muzzleloading enthusiasts this year.

Traditions are keeping up as one of few manufacturers still making a more “Traditional” line of muzzleloading firearms. Their variety of sidelock muzzleloaders gives the budding traditionalist several options to choose from but also gives some options to someone wanting to extend their hunting season or try something a bit harder than a modern rifle.

June 2020 NMLRA .22 Silhouette Match | Photos and Results

Saturday, June 6 & 7 we hosted a .22 silhouette match for marksmen and women to get out and enjoy the outdoors.

We hosted two classes, modern and traditional. Saturday’s match was the regular silhouette match but on Sunday, all competitors were in the prone position. Targets included chickens at 100 yards, pigs at 150 yards, turkeys at 200 yards, and then the rams at 300 meters.
